Our story

We typed an entire brilliant paragraph while looking at the keyboard.
We looked up, and it was in the wrong language.
So we built this app to save our computers from being thrown out the window.

About Language Flipper

Language Flipper gives bilingual professionals the exact tool they need to stop wasting time retyping text and instantly fix frustrating keyboard layout mistakes.

Our lightweight desktop application works seamlessly exactly where you work. Whether you are drafting emails in Outlook, managing clients in Salesforce, chatting in Slack, writing code in VS Code, or browsing in Chrome, etc., our hotkey rescues your mistyped text.

Language Flipper actively prevents the ultimate momentum killer: the backspace key.

That simple mechanism was implemented directly into your operating system, giving you the ability to keep your creative flow completely uninterrupted all day.

Being bilingual typists who suffered through years of accidental gibberish, it has become our passion in life to make everyday typing entirely frustration-free.

Your computer hasn't met us yet (it'll get over it)

Language Flipper isn't signed with a certificate yet, so macOS and Windows will ask you to confirm the first time you open it. Nothing is wrong — here is exactly what you'll see.

On macOS

  1. Open the DMG and drag Language Flipper into your Applications folder.
  2. On first launch, macOS says it can't verify the developer.
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  4. Scroll down and click “Open Anyway” next to Language Flipper.

On macOS 14 and earlier you can instead right-click the app and choose Open.

Language Flipper then walks you through granting Accessibility and Input Monitoring permission — that's how it reads and replaces your text.

On Windows

  1. Run Language-Flipper-Setup.exe.
  2. SmartScreen shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen.
  3. Click “More info”.
  4. Click “Run anyway”.

Windows shows this for any new publisher it hasn't seen many times yet. A signing certificate is on the way.
